Owners of Unix accounts can use simple CGI wizards to enhance their sites with the following scripts:

WARNING:
The mentioned CGI scripts were removed from H-Sphere since version 2.5.

All CGI scripts for a particular site are stored in the cgi-bin directory, unless specified otherwise. If you accidentally delete any files in the cgi-bin directory, you can recover them by going to the Web Options page and clicking the Restore to default link. Your existing files remain untouched, so you will not lose your changes. To get rid of undesirable changes in the script files, delete these files and then click the Restore to default link on the Web Options page. Also, use the Restore to default link to fix your temporary index page to default.
See the Contents of Your Home Directory chapter of this manual for more information on the files and catalogues not to be deleted.

BSCounter

To add Guestbook to your site, do the following:

  1. Select Domain Info in the Domain Settings menu.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the Web Service field.

FormMail

FormMail is a generic WWW form to e-mail gateway, which will parse the results of any form and send them to the specified user. This script has many formatting and operational options, most of which can be specified through the form, meaning you don't need any programming knowledge or multiple scripts for multiple forms. This also makes FormMail a perfect system-wide solution for allowing users form-based user feedback capabilities without the risks of allowing freedom of CGI access.

To add FormMail to your site, do the following:

  1. Select Domain Info in the Domain Settings menu.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the Web Service field.
  3. On the Web Service page, click the Edit icon in the Preinstalled Scripts field.
  4. Choose FormMail from the list of available preinstalled scripts and turn it on.

BBSForum

The main BBSForum feature is that it allows a user to post messages as well as post replies to existing messages. WebBBS keeps track of which messages are posts and which ones are replies and displays them in a hierarchical tree-like fashion. Additionally, it allows a user to restrict the number of messages through a variety of query mechanisms.

To add BBSForum to your site, do the following:

  1. Select Domain Info in the Domain Settings menu.
  2. Click the Edit icon in the Web Service field.
  3. On the Web Service page, click the Edit icon in the Preinstalled Scripts field.
  4. Choose BBSForum from the list of available preinstalled scripts and turn it on.
